Facilities Manager – Muscat

We are on the lookout for qualified and highly competent candidates for the position of Facilities Manager to join our client’s Hospital in Muscat, Oman, to oversee all building-related activities.

Preference: Candidates currently in Oman (or with GCC experience).

The applicants are required meet the following qualifications –

  • Proven experience of minimum 8 years in the field as Facilities Manager or relevant manager.
  • Candidates with considerable experience in tertiary healthcare settings including in the GCC are preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a reputed institution.
  • Well-versed in technical/engineering operations and facilities management best practices.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting and finance principles.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Good analytical/critical thinking.

Your responsibilities include –

  • Plan and coordinate all installations (telecommunications, heat, electricity etc.) and refurbishments.
  • Manage the upkeep of equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards,
  • Inspect buildings’ structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations.
  • Review utilities consumption and strive to minimize costs.
  • Supervise all facilities staff (custodians, technicians, groundskeepers etc.) and external contractors.
