Job Summary
The Ministry of Health, Sultanate of Oman, is hiring experienced and compassionate Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Nurses to join our critical care team in providing advanced nursing care for infants, children, and adolescents. The PICU Nurse will be responsible for patient assessment, critical care monitoring, medication administration, ventilator management, emergency response, and collaboration with multidisciplinary healthcare teams in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution in India
- Valid nursing license/registration with the relevant Nursing Council.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of recent critical care or pediatric ICU nursing experience.
- Certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required or preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients in the PICU.
- Continuously assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment.
- Administer medications, intravenous therapies, blood products, and other prescribed treatments safely and accurately.
- Operate and monitor critical care equipment including ventilators, infusion pumps, cardiac monitors, and life-support systems.
- Assist physicians and healthcare teams during emergency procedures and resuscitations.
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records in accordance with hospital and Ministry of Health standards.
